![]() Apart from that, I haven't found anything about ivpn on social platforms like reddit so far so I don't know if they had done something tricky in the pastĪll in all, there are some things that can be done to improve the service, but right now I think that it's better than main competitor, mullvad. Some months ago an investigation lead to ivpn and mullvad about a person who sold database leaks, both of the services gave nothing to the police. Warrant Canary is also an indication of their claims, that they protect users data and there are no user identification leaks on this years of operation. Safety while using : the site is very clear with privacy policy and also they have often audits by a trusted service. The fetaures are generally the same as mullvad but the android and windows app are much better and beautifully designed. This isn't something bad for activities except gaming which is a real problemĪpplication's UI: the user interface is exceptional. I read in forums that other Greeks buy mullvad for this exact reason, the server in Greece. A bad thing is that Im currently in Greece and there are no servers close ( Bulgaria and Romania only ) but the ping is above 40-50 ms for Romania server which is faster. Speeds are perfectly fine, getting above 95% or my normal network speed (100 mbps, I get mostly 96-97 mbps). Now with IPVN it won't even disconnect when I change connections between 4G and WiFi or Wifi to Wifi. Not to mention that some servers that I connected to was pretty abused but not every one. In connectivity: I used to experience periodically cut offs on the mullvad connection and also lower speeds on some servers. This is my honest review, something that I couldn't find when I was searching and might help some people to decide I'm glad that I gave it a shot, I'm beyond satisfied with this service. Also, the reviews on Google play are low star, but this isn't something to worry because they are made by people who don't know how this vpn operates or it's target ( it's not streaming ). (Obviously I didn't read the fake ones in internet there are so many ,misguiding people). This phenomenon might caused by the price, because IVPN plans are slightly more expensive. ![]() At first I wasn't so sure for IVPN because there aren't many reviews on the internet and the piracy and torrenting communities rarely talk about this service, just mullvad and nothing else. But everyone's needs are different.Used to be a mullvad subscriber for a couple of months. At least for me all-in-all there doesn't seem to be much downside to transitioning away from being dependent on streaming services so that's also going to be even less of a concern for me going forward. And surprisingly enough, there are actually physical media releases of streaming service shows like Mandalorian and Man in the High Castle, to name a few - which was something I never thought would happen. So for the long term, and when you factor in that I can use whatever platform I want to watch (none of this "uncertified" no Widevine therefore only 480p BS on a rPi or home server) I'm going to be migrating over to that model. I don't have a problem with any streaming services currently, but then again I'm in the US using a US server so that might be the reason why.Īs a side note, I recently did a cost analysis of buying + ripping BluRays vs streaming services and it came out pretty much equal over 3 years. There is 1 section of code from Microsoft that doesn't say what it is, but appears to be related to account generation and possibly payment handling.Īctions speak louder than words, and so far, Mullvad is the only provider I've found that is putting their money where their mouth is so to speak. #2, while minified, appears to be the Vue.js framework with some other open-source libraries (such as reading zip files). #1 is not minified or obfuscated, so provided you have a little web dev knowledge, you can review it and see that it's not doing anything nefarious. only downloads 2 javascript files ( 1) ( 2). It's frankly quite astonishing that so many VPN providers proclaim to the moon and back about how much they care about your privacy, and then in their Privacy Policies list Google Analytics and all this other crap that they use. It's the only VPN provider I've found so far that when I visit their website, nothing triggers uBlock Origin or my Pihole, and I have both of those loaded up with as many blocklists as I can find.
